This was painted in June 2023 just after the first fall of snow. 

This walking track connects Queenstown to Frankton and I remember using this walkway often as a school child. 

The incentive to paint this scene of the Remarkables came from a similar painting by the late Charles McKenzie - one of the first professional painters based in 
Queenstown, and a dear family friend.
