We woke up to a beautiful day after 3 days of rain and wind in Invercargill so I decided to take advantage and do some plein air painting.
The spot is in Invercargill on the corner of Nith and Woods street. There are a number of sites available.
Being a built up area, you have to paint quickly before you lose the light
In these pictures you will see my first wash, I decided to add some people under the tree on the right enjoying a picnic.
I have included some more pictures from the same location. The light on the buildings was beautiful.
We are spoilt for choice in Southland.
